A multi-instrumentalist songwriter and poet, Eric plays soul-folk songs, expressing poetic and progressive roots on fingerstyle guitar and banjo. Activating and insightful lyrics, rich acoustic textures, and infectious grooves present songs that move the soul and inspire the heart.  Drawing on a vast and visceral influence of world folk and mantra musics in a driving folk music medium, Eric has translated his years as a multi-instrumentalist, expressive- and contemplative-arts teacher, and spoken word poet back into a traditional songwriting practice which offers a unique and compelling sound.  Concerts are threaded with spoken word poetry and delightful stories from his wanderings as a poet-musician, storyteller, meditation teacher, and woodcarver.
